The Green Waste Club does not collect for two weeks over the festive period. The last Christmas collection is on Friday 22 December 2023 and the service will resume on Monday 8 January 2024.

Christmas trees will be taken but need to be cut up and placed in the brown bin with the lid closed.

Green tips for a sustainable Christmas

Here are some tips to help reduce the amount of waste we produce over Christmas to ensure that it’s a time of goodwill, not landfill!

Please only recycle wrapping paper that can be scrunched, save Christmas bags, bows and ribbons to re-use next year and ensure that all recycling is clean, dry and loose.
